Our Story

GymStars’ mission is to provide quality instruction in a safe, clean and fun environment so that every participant can meet his or her full potential andReach for the Stars!”

How We Started And What We Believe

It all started in August of 1998 with the first brainstorming meeting of the founders of GymStars. The most important item on the agenda was creating a list of what kids, parents, teachers and coaches want and need in a multi-sport facility. Here are some of the things we came up with:

Kids, Parents, teachers and Coaches want and need:

  • A safe gym including location, viewing area, equipment, and a separation wall so that siblings aren’t able to run out into the gym area.
  • A clean gym including controlling chalk in the air and clean bathrooms.
  • New State of the Art Equipment that is maintained and clean.
  • Air Conditioning and Heating for comfort.
  • Carefully select and train our instructors to develop happy, healthy, confident, responsible children.
  • Provide a sense of achievement in a healthy learning environment.
  • Starting and ending class on time.
  • Appropriate student to coach ratios.
  • Quality training for the teachers and coaches.
  • A place where kids have fun while achieving goals.
  • A location that has lots of parking.
  • Friendly and responsive Customer Service.
  • A large multi-sport facility so kids can choose what they want to participate in.
  • A great Birthday Party program.
  • A gym that is involved in the community.

We opened our doors July 19, 1999 at 1740 W. Hammer Lane in Stockton and commenced teaching the children of our community. We are dedicated to developing healthy, happy, confident, responsible children through our Sports Instruction, Educational and Entertainment Programs. We are ever aware of the magnitude of the responsibility to deliver what kids and parents want and need and we pledge our best effort, which is clearly defined in our Mission Statement and teaching Principles.
